HP just put another nail in the coffin for Microsoft’s Windows phones, shelving the last premium Windows phone available.
This isn’t the final nail, which will be when Microsoft announces that they will stop development on Windows 10 Mobile. That might take a bit longer, but I fully expect it.
Microsoft also recently announced that they were getting out of the music subscription business, shelving their (excellent) Groove Music product. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if MS ended up acquiring Spotify, but that’s just a hunch. But if it happens, you read it here first.
UPDATE: Looks like it might be the final nail after all, if Joe says so.
Of course we’ll continue to support the platform.. bug fixes, security updates, etc. But building new features/hw aren’t the focus. 😟 https://t.co/0CH9TZdIFu
